Building Insurance

Millions of households in the United Kingdom are at the mercy of fire hazards, severe environmental conditions, and burglary. Building Insurance is meant to provide an adequate policy cover for these types of events that may befall your property.
Who should have it?
All homeowners should have building insurance to protect both their property investment and any expenses which may stem from the damage or complete destruction of any physical buildings covered by the policy. Some insurance companies already provide additional contents coverage on top of the regular building coverage. Some are value-added options while a most are standard features of their building insurance policies. Contents insurance is meant to provide a level of financial protection whatever maybe inside the insured property from any damage or theft.
People who purchase leasehold properties are not required to take out individual insurance policies, but are covered instead by a group policy for the entire building. Please note that this normally does not include content insurance.
